Aarrgghh! Christmas Lights!

Ever have one of those days where you can't do anything right??? I attempted to hang Christmas lights on the house. We haven't done it for the past 2 years but now since we have Caleb, thought we'd decorate the house. I started wrapping lights around a little pine tree on the side of the house, got out the ladder, hung the lights up and around the garage door, down around a pine tree on the other side of the house, up and around all the branches of the umbrella tree, tacked them up around the garage window and around to the electrical outlet.......uh oh; I can't plug them in; I've put them up backwards. So I go back through the lights, unhooking them from around the garage window, unwinding them from all the tree branches, around the pine tree, around the garage door....up and down the ladder. I take off for Wal-Mart to buy some more lights, come home and start again. Same process....around the trees, up and around the garage doors and windows, blah blah blah......I did it backwards again. I could not believe how stupid I was. So again (now with a glass of wine) I unhooked, untwisted, and unwrapped all the lights.....I got a piece of paper and made myself a diagram of the electrical outlet and diagrams of the order of each plug/outlet I needed....and I started again. As I was wrapping the lights around the umbrella tree, one of the cords broke....can't explain it....it just came undone and so now that string of lights was 'dead'. I was so mad that I got the wire cutters and just cut them out of the tree and got another string. Probably about 8 hours later, all the lights were up. Then we went outside and noticed that some of one strand were out already. I just can't win. If I didn't have Caleb, I wouldn't have put myself through this. Hope he enjoys them.
